Greek schoolchildren protest education reforms

Schoolchildren across Greece were on Monday protesting against cutbacks in the education sector and the intensification of performance evaluation as part of reforms implemented by the leftist-led government.

Protesters were expected to gather outside the Education Ministry in the northern Athens suburb of Maroussi at 12 p.m.

Schoolchildren held a demonstration against the planned reforms in central Athens in late October.
