Greek political leaders express shock and outrage over Egypt attack
Greek political leaders expressed shock and outrage after Friday's deadly attack at a mosque in the North Sinai region of Egypt, which killed at least 235 people.
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras tweeted his “shock at the inconceivable tragedy” and stated Greece’s “solidarity on the side of the Egyptian people.”
Opposition New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that after the latest “tragedy” everyone must join forces in the war against terrorism.
Parliament Speaker Nikos Voutsis expressed his “abhorrence at this barbarous act” in a letter of condolence to his Egyptian counterpart.
