Greek PM to meet French president during Paris visit
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will meet on Friday in Paris with French President Emmanuel Macron for a working breakfast.
The meeting between the two leaders is taking place within the context of Tsipras’s visit to Paris, where on Thursday he received the award for Political Courage from the magazine Politique Internationale.
Speaking at the Paris ceremony, Tsipras said that the “award belongs to the Greek people and I am collecting it on their behalf.”
The Greek premier also met with representatives of French businesses, reassuring them that the Greek economy is on the road to recovery while stressing the country’s investment prospects and expressing optimism that the pending bailout review will be concluded in a timely manner.
