British ambassador reacts to furlough for N17 hitman

British Ambassador to Greece Kate Smith has expressed her deep “disappointment” over the decision to grant a 48-hour furlough to convicted November 17 hitman Dimitris Koufodinas.

“We respect the independence of the Greek justice system, however we are deeply disappointed over the decision to grant leave to a terrorist murderer and we share the pain that this decision inflicts on the families of the victims,” Smith said in a message on Twitter written in Greek.
