Anarchists attack notary’s office to protest foreclosures
A group of around 15 self-styled anarchists on Thursday entered a notary’s office in the downtown Athens neighborhood of Exarchia, threatened the owner of the business and then vandalized computers and other equipment before scattering fliers condemning foreclosures on the homes of overindebted Greeks.
The raid was the latest in a series of incidents protesting foreclosures in recent months which have all been claimed by anarchist groups.
The first such incident was carried out in March by members of the anarchist group Rouvikonas, which has ratcheted up its activities recently, targeting embassies as well as government offices and businesses.
