ND leader presents his reform plan in Brussels
In a meeting with European commissioners aligned with the European People’s Party in Brussels on Wednesday, New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis presented his alternative program of reforms for Greece’s post-bailout era.
The working lunch was organized by European Migration Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos and attended by Jyrki Katainen, the EU’s jobs and growth commissioner, and Digital Economy and Society Commissioner Guenther Oettinger.
Mitsotakis’s proposal, ND sources said, envisaged the creation of new jobs, reforming the public sector through evaluation, drawing investments in the private sector, improving the education sector and boosting agricultural production.
The ND leader and his interlocutors exchanged opinions about best practices in other European countries, the same sources said.
