Police seeking youths who attacked notaries’ office to protest auctions
Police on Tuesday were seeking the unidentified assailants who entered the notary association of the Athens Appeals Court earlier in the day and caused damage to the premises.
The group comprised around eight to 10 individuals all wearing hoods, according to witnesses.
A group calling itself the “Anarchist Collective of Kallithea-Moschato” later claimed responsibility for the raid, saying it was organized to protest the auctions of the properties of overindebted homeowners.
“No home in the hands of bankers,” the statement said.
