Archbishop reiterates objections to gender identity law
Greek Archbishop Ieronymos on Tuesday reiterated that the Church is firm in its objection to a bill that was passed last week in Parliament which will allow people to determine their gender identity.
The Church’s position, he said, is “consistent, substantial and wonton change.”
The Church, he said, stands firm on matters of family and life in general.
The Orthodox Church has denounced the bill as a threat to the social fabric.
