Moria death due to ‘undetermined causes’
The death on Sunday of a 5-year-old Syrian girl at the Moria reception center on the island of Lesvos is due to “undetermined causes,” a coroner said Tuesday, noting that histological tests currently being carried out could take months to yield conclusive results.
On Monday, a coroner’s initial report had said the girl’s death may have been due to exposure to chemical weapons in her homeland.
It indicated that the child had sustained deep burns and wounds to the head.
