Predator disguised as a monk to lure woman arrested

A man was arrested in Thessaloniki Thursday on charges he disguised himself as a monk and sexually assaulted a 48-year-old woman.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Saturday when the 41-year-old, dressed as a monk, approached the woman in a street in central Thessaloniki and persuaded her to get into his car so that he could give her a few religious items and drive her to a monastery outside the city.

Instead, he allegedly made sexual advances. The women said she managed to escape from the car and report the incident.
