‘Greece has turned page,’ Tsipras tweets after Luxembourg deal
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has welcomed a decision by the country’s international lenders to approve the disbursement of 8.5 billion euros in bailout loans and to detail medium-term debt relief measures following talks in Luxembourg.
“Today Greece is turning a page. We have an agreement which corresponds to the sacrifices of the Greek people. With unity and determination we move forward [to achieve] fair growth and heal the wounds of the crisis,” Tsipras said in a tweet after midnight.
