Hospital offering high-school seniors support during university exams
The Tzaneio Hospital in Piraeus has launched a program to offer psychological support to high-school seniors stressing out over their university entrance exams.
In an announcement on Thursday, the hospital said it will be running a special clinic through the duration of the exam period, from June 6 to 21, for students who are finding it hard to cope with the pressure of competing for one of 70,762 spots at the country’s higher education institutes.
Staff will also be on hand to advise parents on how best to handle their stressed-out teenagers.
The Regional Authority of Crete and other state services have also set up hotlines ahead of the exam period offering advice and support.
