Driver in fatal hit and run being sought in Thessaloniki

Police in Thessaloniki are seeking the perpetrator of a hit-and-run incident that occurred in the northern city’s Evosmos area in the early hours of Saturday morning, killing a 70-year-old pedestrian.

It appears that the man had been trying to cross a road junction when he was hit by an oncoming motorist. According to witnesses, the driver accelerated and left the scene.
