Pensioners protest against cuts in Athens
Thousands of elderly Greeks were protesting on Thursday against more pension cuts, as lawmakers were set to approve another batch of austerity measures.
The protesters gathered at Kotzia Square in central Athens before marching to Parliament. Stadiou Street was closed off to traffic.
The new belt-tightening measures will be imposed beyond the end of Greece's third bailout next year. The left-led coalition government agreed to the cuts as part of a deal with the country's international creditors to release funds from its bailout.
