Bodies found in Thessaloniki’s Thermaic Gulf
A body was discovered in the Thermaic Gulf just off Thessaloniki on Monday. The corpse was found floating in the water near the statue of Alexander the Great in the northern city.
Coast guard officers recovered the body but further information was not immediately available. On Sunday, the body of a 48-year-old Bulgarian man was found in the sea off Porto Valitsa in nearby Halkidiki.
The man had been diving with a group of friends but failed to return.
