PNO announces 48-hour strike

Ferries will remain tied up at ports across Greece on Tuesday and Wednesday, after the umbrella union of Greek seamen, PNO, announced a 48-hour strike on Thursday.

The workers are protesting bailout-mandated social security reforms and labor market regulations that they see as curbing their rights.

The industrial action is expected to begin at 12.01 a.m. on Tuesday.
