Rally planned in Megalopolis against PPC sell-off plans

A group of unions including the one representing employees of the Public Power Corporation and the regional labor center are to team up with local authorities to hold a rally at the Megalopolis power plant in the Peloponnese in protest at the government’s plans to privatize PPC.

Ahead of the rally, which is to begin at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday, the organizers issued a joint statement opposing the “mutilation of the country’s biggest industrial enterprise” and calling on the public to oppose the “sell-off of PPC.”
