Record number of Greeks left cities for Easter holidays

Some 770,000 motorists left Greek cities for the countryside this Easter, according to data from the toll gates at Afidnes and Elefsina.

Vacationers continued to return home on Tuesday after some 95,000 returned on Easter Sunday and another 140,000 on Easter Monday.

Last Easter, some 753,000 motorists abandoned major cities for their vacations.
