Hospitals to be disrupted on Wednesday as staff stage walkouts

State hospital services are to be disrupted on Wednesday after the union representing hospital staff called a 4-hour walkout for Attica and a 24-hour strike for the rest of the country.

Unionists also called on members to attend a protest rally in central Athens at noon.

Protesters are demanding free health service for all, job security and a reimbursement of salary cuts imposed due to austerity.
