Contract firemen rally in Athens

Greek firefighters hired on a five-year contract staged a rally in central Athens Wednesday demanding that the government extend their tenure.

Protesters were expected to march to the Ministry of Administrative Reform.

A total of 4,000 firemen were hired in February 2012. Their contracts expire Thursday.
