Man arrested on charges of blackmail

A 37-year-old man was arrested in Thessaloniki Thursday on charges of threatening to distribute graphic material of his former girlfriend at her workplace unless she gave him 2,000 euros.

Police nabbed the suspect at the location where he had arranged to meet the 42-year-old woman in the area of Evosmos for her to hand him the payment.
