Greece, Cyprus, Israel to broaden collaboration in energy, civil protection
Greece, Israel and Cyprus were set to forge closer ties in the fields of energy and civil protection, among others, following agreements signed during a tripartite summit of the countries’ leaders in Jerusalem on Thursday.
Greek PM Alexis Tsipras and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades were hosted by Israeli premier Benjamin Netanuhu on Thursday, for talks regarding closer cooperation in tourism, the environment, science and innovation.
Speaking from Jerusalem, Tsipras said his government’s target was for Greece to become an energy transport hub for Israeli and Cypriot natural gas reserves.
