Six injured in Victoria Square fast-food outlet explosion
Six people, one of whom was reportedly in serious condition, were injured on Thursday after an explosion caused a fire at an Everest fast-food outlet situated on Victoria Square in central Athens. Authorities said one person was missing on Thursday.
Twenty firemen were reportedly fighting the blaze which initial reports suggested was caused when a gas cylinder exploded at around 9.25 a.m. on Thursday.
Reports also said nearby stores and residences, as well as parked vehicles and motorcycles, sustained damage in the explosion.
