Greek police seize over 200 kilos of cannabis
Police on Monday announced three separate drug busts from traffic stops in northern Greece that led to the confiscation of more than 200 kilograms of cannabis.
The biggest haul was made in Aghios Nikolaos in Filiata, Thesprotia, and led to the arrest of two women, a 33-year-old who found with nearly 119 kilograms of the illegal narcotic in her car, and a 26-year-old accomplice suspected of looking out for traffic checks in a separate vehicle.
In Kastoria, police arrested a 40-year-old Albanian national found with more than 64 kilograms of cannabis distributed between four tote bags in the car he was driving, while in Konitsa, another traffic stop resulted in the seizure of over 23 kilograms of the drug and the arrest of a 56-year-old man and a woman aged 84.
