Groper nabbed in Maroussi

A man was arrested on Wednesday in the district of Galatsi on charges of groping women and girls in various parts of Athens.

According to reports, the 38-year-old suspect would creep up on his victims with his motorcycle or on foot, and fondle them before making a run for it.

He was apparently active in the suburbs of Kypseli, Maroussi and Nea Philadelphia.

A police investigation linked him to cases involving at least two women and two girls, and revealed that he had served a prison term in the past for similar offenses.
