Government spokesman says Obama wants to end his presidency ‘with solutions’
Government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos played up this week's visit to Athens by outgoing US President Barack Obama on Monday, saying that it was of great significance and that the outgoing leader wanted to end his term "with solutions."
In comments to Real FM, Tzanakopoulos referred to Obama's expressed intention to urge Greece's creditors for debt relief, adding however that the issue of debt "cannot be solved in a moment." The point is that the measures that will relieve Greece's debt are specified, not the timing of their implementation, he said.
He added that Greece's differences with its creditors are very small.
