Officers injured during GD trial clashes file suit
Four police officers injured on October 31 during clashes between self-styled anarchists and supporters of the far-right Golden Dawn party outside the Athens courthouse where the latter is standing trial have filed suit against the police corp’s political leadership for failing to protect officers in the line of duty.
The officers were injured after a group of anarchists took to the rooftops of a nearby apartment complex and began throwing rocks and other projectiles toward the people and riot officers below.
