Three arrested for kidnapping, raping 17-year-old Pakistani man
Attica police said on Monday they had arrested three Pakistani men, aged 17, 24 and 30, on charges of kidnapping, rape and blackmail, among other crimes.
The victim is another Pakistani man, also aged 17, who was allegedly snatched on October 13 from Artemida, eastern Attica, by the gang, who initially demanded ransom of 50,000 euros from his family for his release, later reducing the amount to 6,000 euros.
The young man was released after his father paid the money into a bank in Pakistan, later telling investigators that he had been sexually abused during his incarceration.
