Tsipras: Greece rising dynamically after 6 years of economic crisis

Greece’s upgraded role as a pillar of stability and security in the region was highlighted by Greek PM Alexis Tsipras in remarks made at the opening of the EU Arab Summit “Partners for Growth and Development,” held at the Athens Concert Hall on Thursday.

“Today’s summit, [which takes place] at a pivotal time for the Greek economy, at a time of recovery, but also at a crucial time with regard to stability in the broader region, can contribute enormously,” said Tsipras.

The Greek premier added that the summit was taking place in Greece, a country which “is rising dynamically following six years of economic crisis, steadily upgrading its role as a pillar of peace, stability and security in our region.”

The summit runs through Friday.
