Greece to reopen Libya embassy
Greece is planning to normalize ties with Libya and to reopen its embassy in the war-torn country, according to diplomatic sources.
The embassy was shut down in late July, 2014, at the height of Libya’s civil conflict.
To this effect, Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will visit Tripoli on November 29.
The location of the building that housed the embassy before it was shut down has been deemed unsafe, and Greek authorities are sounding out other EU countries whose embassies are still closed about using their facilities.
