Quake rocks Samos, aftershocks shake Ioannina
An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale hit the Aegean island of Samos early Monday, the Geodynamic Institute in Athens reported.
The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers below the seabed, some 17 km northeast of the island. There were no reports of injures or damage.
Meanwhile, a 5.2 magnitude quake that hit near Ioannina, northwestern Greece, late Saturday, was followed by several aftershocks on Sunday and Monday.
