Magnitude 5.1 earthquake strikes off the coast of Rhodes
The Athens-based Geodynamic Institute says a magnitude 5.1 earthquake has struck the area west of Greece’s island of Rhodes.
The institute reported that the earthquake hit around 11.57 p.m. local time Tuesday with its epicenter located about 27 kilometres northwest of the Dodecanese island. Its depth was measured at 56 kilometers.
There were no reports of injuries or damage.
