BoG governor’s home searched following judicial order
Chief corruption prosecutor Eleni Raikou on Thursday ordered a search of the company offices of Stavroula Nikolopoulou, the spouse of BoG governor Yannis Stournaras, as well as the couple’s home.
The searches were part of a preliminary probe being conducted by the Financial Police in connection to the alleged mismanagement of funds belonging to the Hellenic Center for Disease Control and Prevention, KEELPNO.
This is the second investigation by prosecutors into KEELPNO's advertising funds. Authorities are also looking into the alleged disappearance of documents tied to the case.
