Thriasio staff says hospital’s anesthesia machines are ‘wrecks’
The state hospital employees’ union, POEDIN, on Wednesday issued a statement warning that the anesthesia machines at the Thriasio hospital in Elefsina, western Attica, were “wrecks” and put patients’ lives at risk.
The machines have malfunctioned several times already, putting patients at risk and obliging doctors and nursing staff to work in “an environment of insecurity, danger and high stress,” the statement said.
