Foreign nationals arrested over forged travel documents
Eight foreign nationals – six men and two women – were arrested at Nikos Kazantzakis Airport in Iraklio, Crete, for attempting to board flights heading for Germany, Belgium and Italy.
The suspects included four people from Congo – two aged 19, a 21-year-old and 25-year-old – a 26-year-old from Guinea, a 22-year-old Eritrean, as well as two people from Afghanistan, aged 25 and 22.
They were carrying forged Congolese, French, Italian and Japanese travel documents.
