Two people diagnosed with malaria in Thessaloniki
Two cases of malaria have been diagnosed in the Aghios Vasileios community in the Langadas municipality of Thessaloniki.
Regional authorities said on Friday that the two infected individuals responded well to medication and are in “good health,” adding that all necessary precautions to contain mosquito numbers are being undertaken.
“Local communities have been informed, door to door, of the preventive measures to be taken,” central Macedonian regional authorities said in a statement.
