Fire in Lefkada’s old town burns four houses

Firefighters were battling a large blaze that broke out in the old town in Lefkada's old port on Monday, burning four houses.

According to local media, a church in the area was evacuated due to the blaze.

A total of 35 firefighters, with 15 engines, were dispatched to fight the blaze with  helicopter aiding rescue efforts.

The cause of the fire remained unclear.
