Ellinair passengers reach Moscow following emergency landing in Thessaloniki
The 147 passengers on a Moscow-bound Ellinair airliner that was forced to make an emergency landing at Thessaloniki’s Makedonia Airport on Friday afternoon arrived in the Russian capital later the same day, authorities announced.
According to reports, the aircraft took off from Makedonia Airport and was heading to Moscow when its crew detected a technical problem shortly after takeoff.
The plane returned to Thessaloniki, while all of the passengers boarded another Ellinair aircraft at 8 p.m.
