Attacks on Athens churches being probed
Police in Athens were on Wednesday investigating acts of vandalism at two churches in central Athens that were carried out in the early hours of the morning.
The churches are on the corner of Bouboulinas and Metsovou streets and on Academias Street.
In both cases, the vandals smashed glass bottles filled with paint against the exterior walls.
On Sunday self-styled anarchists stormed Thessaloniki Cathedral, interrupting mass in protest at the detention of individuals following raids on squats in the previous days.
