Corinth-Kiato stretch of Olympia Odos to open Friday
A portion of the Olympia Odos highway in the Peloponnese is expected to open to motorists on Friday, authorities have announced.
The 20-kilometer stretch from Ancient Corinth to Kiato is part of a 201.5-kilometer highway that will connect Elefsina, in Attica, with Patra, in western Greece, when it is finished.
Construction work on the Olympia Odos is expected to accelerate this month, while the highway is set to be delivered in March 2017.
The Derveni Tunnel on the Corinth-Patra section of the highway is also expected to open to the public this month, authorities said.
