Fire breaks out in Kalyvia, southeast of Athens
A fire broke out on forestland in the area of Kalyvia, southeast of Athens, on Friday.
A total of 30 firefighters and 10 fire engines were dispatched to douse the fire while two water-dropping plans and two helicopters aided the rescue effort from the air.
The fire service said the flames did not threaten residential areas.
