Clinic director, doctor nabbed for under-the-table payment

The director of a urology clinic at a central Athens hospital and a private urologist have been arrested for receiving under-the-table payments following a complaint filed by a patient.

The private urologist had been treating the patient and recommended a meeting with the hospital director. The director demanded 100 euros, which, however, was delivered by the patient in marked bills, leading to his arrest.

The private urologist was also arrested for complicity.
