Shop-owner in Achaia dies after trying to stop brawl
A 55-year-old shop-owner in the small town of Kleitoria in Achaia, in the Peloponnese, was killed in the early hours of Tuesday after trying to separate two men brawling outside his business.
According to the police, a 39-year-old Albanian national started an argument with another man outside the shop at around 2.45 a.m. When the 55-year-old tried to intervene to break up the fight he was punched in the chest by the 39-year-old and knocked unconscious, police said.
The man was rushed to the hospital but doctors were unable to revive him.
The 39-year-old was arrested and was to face a prosecutor on Tuesday.
