Arrest warrant issued for Iraqi murder suspect
Police revealed on Thursday that they have issued an arrest warrant for a 40-year-old Iraqi man who is believed to have shot dead one man and injured two others in central Athens on July 13.
The suspect is alleged to have got into an argument on the day in question with a 47-year-old Greek man who owned a clothing store, after repeatedly visiting the shop and harassing one of the female employees.
After the row, the Iraqi man left only to return a little later armed with a handgun. He killed the 47-year-old and injured two men aged 53 and 57 at a cafe near the store. The other two victims were treated for their wounds. The gunman walked away from the scene of the shooting and is at large.
