Missing teen found in hands of prostitution racket
A 14-year-old girl who had been reported missing from her home in western Attica was being forced to work as prostitute by a gang, police said on Thursday, announcing the arrest of six people.
The suspects – four men aged 19, 40, 47 and 48 and two women, 23 and 50 – were arrested in raids conducted in Kallithea and Metaxourgeio.
According to reports, the girl was forced to have sex with clients for a fee of 80 euros.
She was discovered by undercover police officers who visited a brothel owned by two of the suspects posing as clients.
The suspects appeared before a prosecutor on Thursday.
