Man, 29, arrested for Cephalonia church robberies
A 29-year-old man was arrested on Monday on Cephalonia.
He is accused of at least two church robberies on the Ionian island.
According to local authorities, the suspect had removed two gold votive offerings from the Church of Aghios Nikolaos last Thursday and 10 gold votive offerings from Panaghia Rakantzi Church in Argostoli last Saturday.
Police have also arrested a 24-year-old accomplice.
