Mitsotakis visits Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem
Greek opposition leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in Israel for talks with the country’s political leadership, has visited Yad Vashem’s Holocaust History Museum in Jerusalem.
“Deeply moved by the greatest tragedy in the history of man, we vow to never forget the horror of this tragic period,” Mitsotakis wrote in the guest book of the museum.
The conservative leader will visit Knesset, the Israeli parliament, later on Monday.
During a meeting with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin on Sunday, Mitsotakis voiced his satisfaction with the political rapprochement with Tel Aviv which he named a “strategic partner” of Greece.
