Government puts electoral reform bill to public consultation

A Greek government proposal for electoral reform was put up for public consultation on Friday.

The proposal foresees a minimum voting age of 17, the abolition of a 50-seat bonus for the party receiving the largest number of votes and the maintenance of the 3 percent threshold for parties to enter Parliament.

New Democracy, To Potami and the Greek Communist Party (KKE) are opposing the proposal.
