Arrests made in Limanakia murder case
Police have arrested a 34-year-old man and his 19-year-old girlfriend on charges of murdering a 50-year-old man, whose charred remains were discovered in the Limanakia area of Vouliagmeni earlier in the month.
A third suspect, also a 19-year-old woman, was arrested on charges of harboring criminals.
The investigation revealed that the victim had paid a visit to the couple’s home in Drapetsona, where, according to the woman, he sexually harassed her.
In a fit of rage, the woman’s 34-year-old boyfriend beat the man severely with his fists and a fan, tied him up and then drove to Limanakia and set him on fire.
The man and woman then proceeded to clean and paint their home to get rid of blood stains and other evidence of the crime, which they have confessed to police investigators.
