Disruptions in intercity, suburban rail services due to strike action
Greece’s national railway and suburban rail services will be suspended on Tuesday from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m., 1 to 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. to midnight and all day on Wednesday as staff stage walkouts to protest the government’s plans to privatize Trainose, the operating arm of the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE), and rolling stock maintenance provider Rosco.
Services affected by the rolling stoppages include intercity trains, suburban railway services in Athens, Thessaloniki and Patra, and services to and from Athens International Airport.
